la Sonnerie

The environment of Son & Breugel still has all the characteristics of the region in which Vincent van Gogh once spent some time. The river Dommel meanders behind la Sonnerie, through a typical Brabantian landscape where cows graze beside the poplars. Walking and cycling past the old windmills, through woodland and heath, creates an impression of the beauty of the region. The hotel can provide good bicycles and, of course, a picnic. Canoeing on the Dommel is a favourite pastime in spring and summer.

Of course, it can happen that you do not know beforehand what you would like to do during your stay. If this is the case, there are enough things to do in the area and you can take the day as it comes. A pleasant day's shopping in Eindhoven, a visit to one of the museums in the area or a refreshing walk in one of the surrounding woods.
